Announcing Food For The Soul 2008

UniverSoul Circus and The Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless charitable organization have invited local Metro Atlanta area schools to participate in collecting food items for Hosea’s Feed the Hungry food bank in Atlanta.

Interested schools can participate in our program to donate non-perishable food items to help feed thousands throughout the year at the Hungry and Homeless food bank. The school that collects the greatest amount of items will win tickets for a performance of UniverSoul Circus for the entire school when the circus comes to Atlanta, February 11 - March 1, 2009.

This year we have added the Food For The Soul School Spirit Award, which will provide up to 200 tickets for the school that shows the most school spirit in the form of a 60 to 90 second video of the school’s students, faculty, staff, parents, and/or supporters providing humanitarian assistance to those in need and of course the food items collected.

Food For The Soul School Spirit Award contestants are asked to upload their video to YouTube.com and e-mail UniverSoul Circus the video link for inclusion on the UniverSoul Circus YouTube channel.

We believe childern will learn a great civics lesson about sharing and giving to those in need. Attending the UniverSoul Circus will provide the students cultural, educational and entertainment benefits as they view the incredible artists from several countries around the globe. Year after year, the entire experience of Food For The Soul has been very positive for metro Atlanta children! Food For The Soul 2008 experience will be a benefit for a lifetime.

Participants can bring non-perishable food item(s) to school any day until December 12th. Schools interested should click on the Registration link below
