UniverSoul Circus and Hosea Feed The Hungry And Homeless Challenge Area Schools to Support a Good Cause
UniverSoul Circus, the source for urban rich family entertainment, and the Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless organization have teamed up with Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County and DeKalb County schools to support the second annual "Food For The Soul" food drive. Benefiting the Hosea Food for the Hungry and Homeless Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, the food drive encourages students to help Atlantans in need.
Beginning October 30 through November 17, students can bring non-perishable food items to their schools for collection. As a special treat for the students, the school that donates the most food wins an exclusive performance from UniverSoul Circus, featuring Elisabeth Omilami – daughter of Hosea Williams and executive director of the food drive – as Guest Ringmaster.
"As a part of the Atlanta community, UniverSoul Circus is proud to help The Hosea Williams organization, which brings hope and joy to thousands of our neighbors every holiday season," said Operations Director, Ben Johnson, "Last year, students who participated in the ‘Food for the Soul’ drive brought in more than 17,000 food items in less than two weeks. This year, we challenge students to beat their own record and we look forward to putting on a spectacular show for the winning school."
Collected food items will be delivered to the Hosea Williams organization where it will be counted to determine which school collected the most food. The winner will be announced on November 22 and posted on UniverSoul’s website, www.universoulcircus.com. For more information, please contact Dee Dee Williams at 404-588-1235.
